MSW student Fatmata Britton and BSW student Shannon Lubin did their field placements this year with Silberman’s PROVE program (Project for Return and Opportunity in Veterans Education). This innovative program, operating since 2007, helps student veterans connect to needed resources as they transition from the military to college life. As recently activated members of the Army National Guard, Fatmata and Shannon are playing a vital role in protecting their fellow citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. We salute them for their service to the community and wish them well as they continue their training and entry into the social work profession.
