A Message from the Dean

Dear Colleagues,

As we close another academic year, I would like to take a moment to celebrate the collective achievements of our school community. Your dedication and commitment have had a great impact on our students, faculty, and staff.Thank you for your efforts in cultivating an inclusive space.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Dr. Caroline Gelman, who has steadfastly served as the Senior Associate Dean of Academics and Faculty Affairs. She will continue to inspire and mentor in her role as a senior member of our faculty.

We are also excited to welcome Dr. Robyn Brown-Manning as she assumes the role of Senior Associate Dean of Academics and Faculty Affairs. Dr. Brown Manning brings extensive experience in social work education and practice, and a profound understanding of community-centered partnerships. I am confident that her leadership will continue our commitment to excellence in social work education.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Dr. Samuel Aymer will transition to the role of Director of the MSW Program after more than a decade of service as the Chair of the Clinical Method area. Dr. Aymer’s deep commitment to clinical social work practice will greatly advance faculty and student success.

I invite you all to join me in celebrating our colleagues as they transition into these new roles.

Wishing you a restorative and joyful summer break,

Warmly,

Mary M. Cavanaugh, Ph.D.
