As we look ahead to the fall semester, and as you may have read in both the Chancellor’s and President’s recent communications, I write to share with you that this fall semester’s classes will be offered remotely. I ask that if you need any supports to successfully attend to your on-line learning that you please let us know. I can assure you that through the summer faculty have been working diligently on your courses, particularly around on-line course instruction, to ensure that your coursework maintains a high standard of excellence. Except for some field internships that may require in-person placements, all other classes and internships will be offered remotely. Here’s what you can expect as you transition to remote teaching:
- Post all of your course materials and assignments in Blackboard.
- Check-in with your students about their access to technology off-campus.
- Use Collaborate Ultra, Blackboard’s videoconferencing tool to connect with students for classes, office hours, and/or group meetings.
