New Faculty – Dr. Robyn Brown-Manning

Dr. Robyn Brown-Manning will become a member of the Silberman School of Social Work faculty in Fall 2016, as Visiting Lecturer. She enters this role with a remarkable record of service to Silberman, having been an adjunct lecturer at the school for over fifteen years as well as earning both her MSW and Ph.D. degrees here.

New Faculty – Dr. Adam Brown

Dr. Adam Brown will join the Silberman School of Social Work in Fall 2016 as Assistant Professor. Immediately prior to joining Silberman, Dr. Brown completed his doctoral work at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration (SSA), receiving his Ph.D. in Spring 2016.

New Faculty – Dr. Jama Shelton

Dr. Jama Shelton will join the Silberman School of Social Work in Fall 2016 as Assistant Professor. Prior to joining Silberman, Dr. Shelton was a postdoctoral research fellow at the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research, NYU Silver School of Social Work. She was also Deputy Executive Director of the True Colors Fund, a leading non-profit organization that works to end LGBT youth homelessness.

New Faculty – Dr. Maria Y. Rodriguez

Dr. Maria Y. Rodriguez will join the Silberman School of Social Work in Fall 2016 as Assistant Professor. Immediately prior to joining Silberman, Professor Rodriguez completed her doctoral work at the University of Washington School of Social Work (Seattle, WA) in June 2016.

New Faculty – Dr. Vicki Lens

Dr. Vicki Lens will join the Silberman School of Social Work as a Professor in Fall 2016. Dr. Lens comes to Silberman after serving on the faculty of the Columbia University School of Social Work. She received her Ph.D. in social welfare from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work and her MSW from Stony Brook University (SUNY).

New Faculty – Dr. Alexis Jemal

Dr. Alexis Jemal will join the Silberman School of Social Work in Fall 2016 as Assistant Professor. Immediately prior to joining Silberman, Dr. Jemal completed her doctoral work at the Rutgers University School of Social Work (New Brunswick, NJ) in June 2016. Dr. Jemal also holds a J.D. from the Rutgers University Law School-Newark.
